Chaudhary Group to bring famous Luxury Heritage ‘Summit Hotel’ in Gorkha

Kathmandu: In a major development for Nepal’s tourism and hospitality sector, CG Hospitality, a subsidiary of Nepal’s leading business conglomerate Chaudhary Group, has laid the foundation stone to bring famous Luxury Heritage ‘Summit Hotel’ in Gorkha, with the aim of developing the region as an international luxury tourism destination aiming to promote luxury travel experiences. Inspired by Kathmandu’s iconic Summit Hotel which was established in 1978, the project will be developed as a luxury heritage resort combining modern amenities with authentic Nepali character, according to CG Hospitality. 

Spread across approximately 30 Ropanis of land, the project is expected to be completed and brought into operation within 24 months. The hotel will feature about 30 rooms, with room rates expected to be around USD 500 per night. The Summit Hotel in Gorkha, will offer premium services targeting both domestic and international tourists.According to CG Hospitality, the primary objective of the project is to integrate Gorkha into Nepal’s luxury tourism circuit. Located near the historically and culturally significant Gorkha Durbar, the project is expected to promote Nepal’s history, heritage, and culture on the international stage. Gorkha is the historic site from where King Prithvi Narayan Shah began the unification of Nepal, laying the foundation for modern Nepal.

According to Rahul Chaudhary, Managing Director and CEO of CG Hospitality Global, the project represents another significant step reflecting Chaudhary Group’s continued

Chaudhary Group will always remain supportive of the government’s goal of strengthening Nepal’s economy through tourism,” he said.The Summit Revisited hotel is expected to generate employment in the Gorkha region, strengthen the local economy, and attract new investments. It is also expected to accelerate regional development through tourism.Just a few days ago, Chaudhary Group had laid the foundation stone for the prestigious luxury hotel ‘The Ritz-Carlton’ in Thamel, Kathmandu, in partnership with the globally renowned Marriott International.
